Technically, you could say Product Designer, Industrial Designer, Furniture Designer, Augmented Reality Designer, Learning Experience Designer and UI/UX Designer. Now I'm studying to be a Designer for Emergent Futures. I am endlessly curious about human behaviour and I hope to create a safer world for feminine expression. I'm happy with just 'designer'.
I believe that perspective holds incredible power. I hope to spend my life understanding the nuances of overlapping perspectives to accommodate and create space for the complexity of humanity. The desire to understand, laced with empathy, kindness and the eagerness to create is the cocktail I hope to represent.
The world was built for men and then women are forced to believe that living like men is a higher standard of living. This is a trick, because when you include women in the workplace but do not push with the same rigor to include men in emotional and domestic labor, you are not freeing women, you are exploiting them.
I do not dream of labor. Why would I dream of having a job? If there was no money and I could do whatever I wanted to, I would want to be someone who creates and builds things and gets to watch it's soul enter the world through my hands. So I guess pretty much what I do now.
